We’re excited to announce the launch of the EU’s new Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme! This new programme will run from 2021 – 2027, and replaces both Europe for Citizens and the Rights, Equality and Citizenship programme.
With a budget of €1.55 billion for 2021 – 2027, CERV is the biggest-ever EU funding programme for promoting and protecting fundamental rights, rule of law and democracy inside the EU.
The four strands of CERV are as follows:
1. Union values
2. Equality, rights and gender equality
3. Citizens' engagement and participation
4. Gender-based violence and violence against children.
Any public or private body active in these areas can apply for funding to deliver projects that address the programme’s objectives and priorities. There are currently 7 open calls for proposals including European Remembrance and Protecting and Promoting the Rights of the Child. You can check out all the open calls here and read the programme guide to find full details on the different types of projects and activities supported.
