In collaboration with Léargas, on 19 May Access Europe hosted EU Values Across Sectors, a Europe-wide conference exploring the values of freedom, democracy and human rights in today’s EU. We were honoured to be joined by keynote speaker Minister of State for European Affairs Thomas Byrne TD who noted: 

“Democracy cannot exist without the work done by NGOs, citizens, and individuals [...] their work translates these values into reality.” 

Featuring discussion panels with speakers from organisations including Eurofound, European Movement Ireland, and the Institute of International & European Affairs, the interactive event showcased successful Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects and demonstrated how these programmes can fund projects that uphold and promote our shared EU values.
