The Wheel is delighted to be working with the European Parliament Liaison Office to bring you updates in the run up to the #EuropeanElections2024 on 7 June. The Elections are just around the corner so don’t miss the opportunity to #UseYourVote!
Meet Your Candidates
Due to demographic changes, Ireland will gain one additional MEP, bringing the number of MEPs to be elected this year to 14. The additional seat has been allocated to the Midlands-North-West constituency. This means in the upcoming Elections, the constituencies of Ireland South and Midlands-North-West will have five seats each, and the Dublin constituency will have four seats. European Movement Ireland has compiled a handy list of all the candidates on their website.
Have a look to learn about the candidates running in your constituency and make an informed vote.
Why Should I Vote?
Voting at the European elections is your opportunity to decide what the European Union should focus on and prioritise over the next five years. Watch the European Parliament’s powerful video for a reminder of what’s at stake for communities across Ireland and the EU. If you don’t #UseYourVote, someone else will decide for you.
