The European Social Economy Summit (EUSES) was digitally hosted by the City of Mannheim in partnership with the European Commission on the 28 and 27 May. This landmark summit included 3000 participants from 100 countries and 600 speakers, and was the culmination of the EU’s public consultation for their upcoming Action Plan for the Social Economy.
Access Europe and The Wheel participated in both days of this event, and not long before it, we coordinated our own session on the Future of Social Enterprise at our Summit 2021. Having learned so much from this experience, our European Programmes Manager, Emma Murtagh, wroe a blog analysing the key fundings and emerging trends for Irish civil sociey in relation to the social economy.
