Interreg Atlantic Area is a European funding programme that promotes transnational cooperation among 36 Atlantic regions in five European countries.
This call intends to select high quality transnational projects, in which relevant organisations cooperate to make regions more resilient to common challenges that know no borders, and which cannot be solved alone.
Interreg Atlantic Area will launch on the 25th of November of 2024 the Third Call for Projects with the allocation of around 43 million Euros to three thematic priorities and seven specific objectives provided in the Approved Cooperation Programme 2021-2027. This call intends to select high quality transnational projects, in which relevant organisations cooperate to make regions more resilient to common challenges that know no borders, and which cannot be solved alone.

1.1 Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies
1.2 Reaping the benefits of digitalisation for citizens, companies, research organisation and public authorities
Thematic priority | Blue and green environment (Greener Europe)
Specific objectives
2.1 Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
2.4 Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system-based approaches.
2.6 Promoting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy.
2.7 Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution.

Specific objective
4.6 Enhancing the role of culture and tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation

The eligible regions are the following:
España
Galicia; Asturias; Cantabria; País Vasco; La Rioja; Navarra; Andalucía; Islas Canarias.
France
Nouvelle Aquitaine; Pays-de-la-Loire; Bretagne; Normandie.
Ireland
Northern and Western; Southern; Eastern and Midland.
Portugal
Norte; Centro; Lisboa; Alentejo; Algarve; Região Autónoma dos Açores; Região Autónoma da Madeira.
The partnership should involve 4 to 12 beneficiaries, considering that projects must include at least partners from the 4 Member States of the cooperation area, one per country/eligible region.
Projects supported under this call will be co-financed and reimbursed up to 75%.
