Future Cast is an innovation, education, and research centre for the quarry and construction industries. Future Cast courses focus on emerging technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence and their applicability to industry to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Future Cast offers courses on robotics, smart data, IoT, virtual and augmented reality, 3D industry printing, and the workplace of thefuture.

We work with companies in Construction and quarrying companies on projects to increase the adoption of advanced technology and processes. Our remit is to research and disseminate technologies in Industry 4.0 to our member companies.

We help solve pressing issues with our accumulated knowledge and expertise in industries automation, innovation and funding.

FEMCON

Erasmus +

This project will assist women working or considering a career in construction.

FEMCON will increase the attractiveness of the industry for others, thus leading to a greater number of women choosing the sector. This will help women across Europe to become aware of their rights to equality in the industry and to utilise their skills in the industry towards their careers progression, thus creating conditions for positive change to happen, improving the industry outlooks and these groups’ quality of life.

Future Cast will assist in creating the reach tool for this project under result 1.  Our Creative communities project will support HEI educators to digitally transform their teaching methods via eservice learning and online hackathons thus increasing digital skills and rejuvenating small local communities in the process.

EU Funding Goals

Our two year goals would be to build our network across Europe on projects of mutual intereest. To become a participating parner on European projects, to increase our learning and knowledge of best practice on industry specific concerns, to increase our R& D output.

Our five year plan would be to lead out a on a number of European projects and in ten years we hope to be a leading partner, with built up knowledge and experience to handle multiple projects with higher level outputs.

Strenghts

We have a strong industry network in the Construction and Quarry sector.

Our team are highly experienced in construction policy, energy management, automation and robotics, 3d printing, marketing and consultancy and geotechnical laboratory analysis.

We have a team of experienced grant & report writers and have strong ties to academia and industry.
