No experience with Longford Athletics Club. Members have had some experience organising youth exchanges with other groups in the past.
EU Funding Goals
Over the next few years we would like to develop our knowledge and expertise in the whole area of European partnerships.
We want to develop partnerships that look at the link between physical health/mental health and exercise and sport.
We hope to look at new innovative ways of encouraging greater involvement of disadvantaged group into increased physical activity and exercise.
We want to encourage the uptake of social sport and physical activity as a means to engaging with disadvantaged groups and improving wider integration.
Strengths
We are a very vibrant club with a good network of committed volunteers. The club has a strong and experienced board with a variety of skills.
The club has experience and expertise in planning and operating physical activity, sports and exercise programs.
The club owns a large indoor training center suitable for physical activity, sports and workshops.
The club has experience of working with minority groups and developing targeted programs.
