EU Project Experience
No experience
We have no EU funding experience. However we have successfully applied for several grants through our Local Authority.
EU Funding Goals
We aim to enable all parts of society to cycle as part of their daily routine, to promote better health outcomes and to reduce environmental impact.
In the next two years we'd like to be able to fund at least one staff member part time, in order to apply significantly more effort to achieving our objectives, and to place the organisation on a more professional foundation. In this timeframe we would like to have a community of advocates in the area, and a "digital hub" for communicating, sharing ideas and keeping up to date with local events and initiatives.
Within five years we aim to have a formal role with local authorities, to enable all parts of society to contribute and engage with future planning and policymaking.
Within ten years we expect active travel will become mainstream, and part of regular policy and planning. This will involve engaging with far more people, on a fully professional basis. It is likely that we will become a national organisation in our own right, or merge with other national organisations.
Strengths
We're very actively engaged with our Local Authority on planning and safety issues, and provide detailed submissions for public consultations, with input from our members.
